The Oaks Academy’s classical education model is guided by four principles developed by the educator Charlotte Mason. Learn more about our complete educational philosophy.

Principle of Personhood
All children are persons capable of the duty and delight of learning.

Principle of the Unity of Knowledge
The formation and integration of healthy relationships with persons, ideas, the world and God is the rightful inheritance of all children.

Principle of Imitation
As children engage in the act of thoughtful imitation they form the ability to examine, emulate and extend the beautiful “texts” set before them.

Principle of Active Learning
Children engaged in active learning form habits of mind necessary for lifelong success and maturity.
