The Oaks Academy is an independent school—not a charter school—and, as such, receives no operating funds from the state or federal government. Tuition income and charitable donations provide for daily operation, teacher and staff salaries, textbooks and materials that support our rigorous academic program.
Scholarships
No student is denied admission because a family cannot afford tuition. We raise more than $1 million every year to provide scholarships to 80% of our students.
Capital Support
We have a menu of capital improvement projects for both Oaks locations that will interest those excited about enhancing our classic buildings. For more information contact the Advancement office at 317.931.3789.
Program Support
Our unique curriculum incorporates a multitude of enrichment opportunities for our students, including numerous field trips, hands-on art and music experiences, nature study, Latin and logic. The cost to educate a student is $8,500; because so many of our students require scholarships, 40% of our operating budget is realized through charitable contributions.
Student and Parent Support
We also provide our families with the support they need in order for their students to be successful in class, whether it be meals, supplies, parenting help, tutoring.
