As 2024 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible generosity and engagement through the Rooted & Rising campaign. Our community’s response to Rooted & Rising demonstrates the power of collective effort in creating transformative opportunities for students to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
While we are still working towards our campaign goal to raise $25 million, our community’s joyful giving displays what makes The Oaks unique: a community rooted in faith and service, working together to create opportunities for students to thrive. As one teacher, Joe Garner, told his class during the 1 Million Minutes Challenge, “We’re planting trees for future generations.” His words remind us that our actions today shape tomorrow.

This special alumni feature highlights three outstanding young alumni of The Oaks Academy who are making strides in leadership, service, and the arts. Their journeys embody The Oaks Academy’s commitment to cultivating leaders who inspire and uplift their communities.
Oaks students surpassed their 1 Million Minutes goal, achieving over 2 million minutes of tech-free play and raising over $80,000 to enhance playgrounds and build a new athletic facility. Thanks to our community’s generosity, every dollar raised was matched, doubling the impact for future generations.
Oaks students are over halfway through their 4 week-long tech-free challenge and have already logged over 900,000 minutes! Families are finding fun, creative ways to unplug and making this initiative an inspiring success.
