Camp Oaks Summer 2023

Camp Oaks offers a variety of camps for students entering Kindergarten to 8th grade. Camp Oaks focuses on providing experiential activities which coincide with the care, quality, and content offered at The Oaks Academy during the school year.

Pricing for students enrolled at The Oaks for the 2023-24 school year will vary based on your family’s pricing level. Pricing levels are determined by using an income-based sliding scale. If you are eligible, a pricing tier discount will appear at the checkout stage of the registration process.

There is a separate price for non-Oaks students based on the camp option and shown during registration. Payment is due when you complete your registration.

Registration for Oaks students

For students enrolled at The Oaks for the 2023-24 school year, parents should register their student(s) through the Parent Portal or New Family Portal to have their pricing discount applied. 

Registration for Non-Oaks students

Non-Oaks students will need to be registered using this form. You can review pricing details from the program catalog prior to registration. 

Registration is a multi-step process that will ask you to provide information about your family and students that you would like to register before creating an account. Once you have an account, you will be able to login to register your student(s) for the programs that they are eligible to participate in before submitting payment information.

Enrichment Camps

Incoming Grades K – 6th | 8am – 5pm

There will be 2 sessions of Enrichment Camp, lasting for 3 (themed) weeks each. Camp days will run Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with scheduled content from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Enrichment Camp will be located at The Oaks Academy, Fall Creek.

During camp mornings, teachers lead math, science and reading activities based upon the weekly theme. Afternoons are filled with athletic activities, outdoor activities, field trips, nature activities, free play and some down time for reading/relaxing.

June Session

June 12th – 30th*

  • Week 1: June 12 – 16, Theme: 5 Senses
  • Week 2: June 20 – 23, Theme: Oceans
  • Week 3: June 26 – 30, Theme: Plants

*NOTE: No camp on Monday, June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday

July Session

July 10th – 28th

  • Week 1: July 10 – 14, Theme: Insects
  • Week 2: July 17 – 21, Theme: Motion and Transportation
  • Week 3: July 24 – 28, Theme: Space

 

Athletic Camps

Incoming Grades 4th – 8th | 9am – 12pm

There will be four, week-long camps offered over the summer covering a different type of activity for each week. Camp days will run Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with various locations based on the activity.

Soccer Camp

June 12th – 16th

Located at Frank and Judy O’Bannon Soccer Park

Basketball Camp

June 20th – 23rd (*NOTE: No camp on Monday, June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday)

Located at JTV Hill Park Gymnasium

Volleyball Camp

July 10th – 14th

Located at JTV Hill Park Gymnasium

Adventure Trip

Incoming 6th – 8th Grades

  • Week 1: July 17th – 21st
  • Week 2: July 24th – 28th

There will be 2 opportunities to go on this 5 day, 4 night trip. One trip will depart July 17th and return July 21st and one trip will depart July 24th and return July 28th.

The Oaks Summer Adventure Trip includes a week exploring the Kentucky wilderness by hiking, camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting and more. Campers will leave on Monday morning and will return on Friday evening. Campers will spend nights in tents and will help each other set up tents, cook meals and read trail maps.

The week’s itinerary includes exploring Natural Bridge State Park, Daniel Boone National Forest and Cumberland Falls State Park; rock climbing in the Red River Gorge; and rafting the Cumberland River. The group will climb above and go under natural arches and will play at the base of waterfalls.

Oaks Plus provides tents, cooking gear and all food for the week. Campers need to provide their own sleeping bag, backpack (school backpack is sufficient), water bottle, eating utensils and personal items.

Pricing

Pricing for Oaks students enrolled for the 2023-24 school year is based upon household income.

There is a separate price for non-Oaks students.

All costs for Oaks students will be billed to your VC Pay account. If you have had a recent change in family income which may affect your pricing level, please contact our business office.
