Clubs & Athletics
The Oaks Academy Plus offers a variety of athletic opportunities in Oaks After 3 and through partnerships with other local organizations. These opportunities span from clubs to camps to competitive teams.
Athletics for students in Pre-K to 4th grade are offered in the forms of clubs or in a partnership with Tab Rec.
Competitive sports teams are available at The Oaks Academy for students in grades 5-8. These teams include girls’ volleyball, coed soccer, girls’ and boys’ basketball, and track and field. They compete in the Indianapolis Independent Schools League (IISL).
All Oaks athletic opportunities focus on experiencing the duty and delight of athletics while treating others how we wish to be treated.
After School Clubs
Oaks After 3 activities are available for Pre-K to 8th grade students and change from session to session. Most activities are created and led by Oaks Academy faculty.
Activities usually meet once per week and range in length from 45 minutes to over two hours depending on age group and content. Oaks After 3 activities may include chess, Frisbee, Indiana history, Irish dancing, knitting, math, music, theatre, speech, and more.
Before and After Care
Before Care is accessible to all Oaks Academy students. A breakfast snack and time for homework review are also provided before students are refocused and sent to class. Before Care begins on school days at 7 am.
Students in After Care enjoy unstructured play in the gymnasium, cafeteria, or outside before settling into homework. Students remaining until the end of After Care are given the opportunity to participate in an organized activity, ranging from nature studies to board games.
Half and Full Day Care
Half and Full Day Care are a blend of Before and After Care with additional organized activities such as science labs and art projects. Half Day Care runs from 12:30 pm to 6 pm. Full Day Care runs from 8 am to 5:30 pm.
