Program Leadership

Chris Bittinger is the founder of Open Pivot, Inc., which delivers professional training, executive coaching and strategic planning to clients in numerous industries, including professional services, nonprofit, legal, construction, manufacturing, healthcare and education. With over 20 years of experience, Chris has successfully coached over 750 executives, managers and sales leaders.

Chris is a past board member for Cathedral High School. He also founded the school’s Emerging Leaders initiative, which focuses on leadership succession planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Butler University and a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is certified with Hogan Leadership Assessments, MG Rush Workshop Facilitation and the Strong Interest Inventory. In 2019, Chris received his executive coaching certification from Columbia University in New York.Chris received his doctorate in education (EdD) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2023 and recently assumed the role of Purdue University Clinical Assistant Professor in leadership and project management.

Margee Boswell currently serves as an advisor for The Oaks Academy’s Pre-Kindergarten Education Center. Margee was a founding teacher at The Oaks in 1998, serving as a Kindergarten teacher for twelve years and opening The Oaks Academy’s first expansion of the Pre-Kindergarten program. Margee was a driving force behind the integration and launch of The Oaks’ dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Education Center before moving into her current role as advisor. 

Margee has a degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University and a Masters in Remedial Reading from Butler University. She served as a remedial reading instructor in a consolidated high school prior to raising a family and returning to work at The Oaks. She also enjoys working with parents and faculty to inform and inspire them through understanding the philosophy and practices that lead to healthy relationships with God, others, and rich ideas formed in the world around them.

Robin Shaw is the Director of The Oaks Academy’s Pre-Kindergarten Education Center. Robin has been part of The Oaks as a parent for over 10 years and an employee for almost as long. Before stepping into her current role and launching The Oaks’ dedicated Pre-K Center, Robin successfully led The Oaks recruitment efforts for six years and also taught 6th Grade! 

Robin holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, an MSW from the University of Georgia, Athens and most recently earned a Certificate in Early Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After beginning her legal career, Robin worked as assistant professor and vice president for administration at Harris-Stowe State University, and then taught justice studies and servant leadership at Martin University. Robin is also a member of the Junior League of Indianapolis, a volunteer legal analyst for The Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and is on the board of Firefly Children & Family Alliance (formerly The Children’s Bureau).
