The Oaks Online Enrollment

For the 2020-21 school year, The Oaks Academy will offer an online learning program for all grades. Experienced Oaks faculty will teach the students learning online and will guide them through the online learning process.

To ensure success in The Oaks Online, enrollment will require parent involvement and support through the year. Parents will be required to complete the Philosophy into Practice Training and Online Learning Orientation for your child to participate. The online learning program includes a combination of live instruction and recorded video instruction. Students will have opportunities to participate in group discussions with their peers and also receive one on one and small group targeted instruction. Online learning will take place Monday through Friday.

The deadline for enrollment in The Oaks Online is August 1.

For grades Pre-K – 5, it is required that an adult be present to support your child’s online learning. The Oaks always encourages parents to monitor online learning activity. Grades 6 – 8 can complete online learning with minimal adult support. An adult will need to be present for all middle school assessments.

Online learners will have access to all subject areas that are a part of our curriculum. The emphasis of The Oaks Online will be on English Language Arts and Mathematics. Some subject areas may be supplemented with carefully curated online curriculum and resources that align with The Oaks Academy curriculum.

To protect the health and safety of both on-campus and online students we are choosing not to offer a hybrid option. We believe offering a strong online program that aligns with our on-campus experience allows us to provide high quality educational options for our families.

Students are required to wear the basic school uniform shirt when participating in synchronous (live) meetings.

Online learning will be Monday through Friday.
