3 Things You Will Love about Middle School at The Oaks Academy
Middle school is an important season of growth and transition for children, and choosing the right fit matters for your family. At The Oaks Academy, our middle school program helps students grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a community where they are truly known and loved.
But don’t just take our word for it. Here are the top three highlights that our parents love about middle school at The Oaks!

|
- Engaging Learning: From the 6th-grade Cincinnati field trip, where students visit the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and explore the city, to the 8th-grade King Louis Trial, where they reenact a trial from the French Revolution, The Oaks creates meaningful experiences that bring learning to life. Our curriculum is intentionally designed to be engaging, meaningful, and memorable, helping spark a lifelong love of learning for your child.
- Relationships First: One of the things parents value most is how well teachers truly know their children. At The Oaks, relationships come first. Teachers intentionally build meaningful connections so each student feels known, supported, and loved. Through daily conversations, collaboration, and shared experiences inside and outside the classroom, students grow in a strong, connected community. Homerooms provide consistency and connection throughout the school year, and daily enrichment time gives students space to play, build friendships, and connect with peers. It all adds up to an environment where students are encouraged, challenged, and confident as they grow.
- Rich, Well-Rounded Class Options: Students have the opportunity to explore new interests and develop their unique gifts through a wide range of classes. In sixth grade, students take Foundations, a hands-on class where they build practical and creative skills like organization, typing, knitting, and more. They also experience each fine arts offering—art, band, choir, and orchestra—before choosing a Fine Arts Major for seventh and eighth grade. These classes meet multiple times each week, giving students the chance to grow in creativity, confidence, and skill while pursuing something they truly enjoy.
