What is Oaks Plus?

Oaks Plus encompasses all before and after school programs and offers students and families a variety of opportunities in athletics, clubs, childcare, and summer camps.

 Athletic Opportunities

Middle school students can participate in Oaks Plus Athletics. Our teams include baseball, volleyball, cross country, basketball, track and field, and soccer. Your child can try out for these no-cut sports and be placed on in-house, JV, or Varsity teams.

Our focus is to encourage your child to experience the duty and delight of athletics while learning to treat others how we wish to be treated. We believe that sports provide enriching opportunities to learn and grow as students face new and different challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment.

The Oaks is one of 13 schools in the Indianapolis Independent School League (IISL), in which our JV (5th & 6th grades) and Varsity (7th & 8th grades) teams play. To allow our ‘no-cut’ philosophy for every willing student to participate on a team, we have in-house teams that play in intramural leagues against other Oaks teams or local teams like Tab Rec. Tryouts are held so that coaches can assess the skills and abilities of players and assign them to a conference or in-house team where they’ll be appropriately challenged and supported.

Clubs

Every quarter, a wide variety of clubs are offered to extend your child’s learning experience outside the classroom. Clubs at the middle school include art, sports activities, poetry, writing, or climbing.

Childcare Offerings

Oaks Plus Childcare is only for currently enrolled Oaks Academy students. Registration is not required for any of our childcare offerings. Fees are billed to your account based on hourly interval rates, and families receive their childcare rate at the beginning of the year.

If your child is dropped off before the official start of the school day or remains in class after the school’s pickup window, they will automatically be signed in to Before or After Care. Before Care is offered at the Lower School starting at 7 am and After Care is offered until 6 pm.

Summer Camps

Camp Oaks offers exciting summer experiences for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade, with hands-on activities reflective of the care and quality of The Oaks Academy. From themed enrichment camps and skill-developing athletic camps to an unforgettable adventure trip, your child can explore, learn, and grow all summer long. More information is shared with parents
