Getting ready for students!
Our Brookside campus is undergoing a transformation in preparation for our students, who will be “replanted” in our “new” building in August 2012.
The classic 1930s school building has been the focus of three community workdays. Volunteers from the Indianapolis chapter of OneBrick, Grace Community Church, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the University of Indianapolis have pulled weeds, painted walls, cleaned bathrooms, planted trees and more.
As 2012 begins, our attention will be turned to readying classrooms and refurbishing administrative offices. In addition, plans for an enhanced play garden and landscape design are underway.
We invite you to participate! For more information on how you can help us bring true education to the Brookside neighborhood, please contact The Oaks Academy Advancement office at 317.931.3687.
