This spring semester at The Oaks, we returned to normal in many ways, but the most exciting for our students was the return of the most highly anticipated and long-remembered field trips that we offer.

We are grateful and proud to call this beautiful historic building home, and to pay tribute to the legacy of the school and library that came before us. We honor the history of School 26, its alum, and the Paul Laurence Dunbar Library.
We appreciate our teachers and want them to know that nothing they do is ever too small, goes unnoticed, and every effort has a deep and lasting impact – as evidenced by the stories shared within.
We build a strong teacher community by ensuring that our faculty are known and loved, which happens when we put relationships first. This is especially important in professional development sessions.
Taking our school’s value of renewal into their own hands, 3 faculty and staff members applied for and received grants to fund adventures geared toward finding creativity and renewal.

A new Oaks After 3 Club offering is helping students learn about the environment and the world around them. The winter session of Outdoor Education Club focused on conservation efforts like recycling and rescuing food that might otherwise be wasted!
