Looking Ahead to an Extraordinary Year
This year, 1,123 Oaks students are walking into classrooms where they are known and supported. At Oaks, that support is rooted in caring for each student as a whole person.
Supporting a child means more than providing an excellent education. It means seeing the whole child and responding to what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

We’re supporting our students in new ways this year!
Expanded student support
- Personalized learning blocks - While whole-class instruction remains the foundation of our academic program, students now have dedicated personalized learning blocks built into their school day. During this time, children will work one-on-one with a teacher, learn alongside a small group, or independently practice skills at the level that is right for them. By understanding each child’s strengths and challenges, teachers can provide the right support at the right time.
- Student Success Coordinators - Each campus will have a dedicated student success coordinator who works closely with teachers and families to understand challenges that may affect a student’s ability to thrive and connect families with meaningful support.
- Partnership with New Day Counseling Center - The Oaks is partnering with New Day Counseling Center to make professional mental health care more accessible to our students. Licensed therapists have space at the Martindale-Brightwood campus and can travel to our other campuses, allowing students to receive care within the safety and familiarity of their school environment.
All of these changes have one thing in common: knowing our students more deeply so we can support them more intentionally.
Centralizing oaks plus
And that support doesn’t end when the school day does. Oaks Plus is now expanded and centralized at our Martindale-Brightwood Campus, creating one hub for After Care, clubs, enrichment, and athletics. And with The Oaks Academy Fieldhouse opening there this fall, students from across our campuses will have even more opportunities to experience community together.

An exciting opportunity
For more than 28 years, generous supporters have made this kind of Oaks education possible. Beginning January 1, 2027, donors will have a new tax-smart strategy to make an impact.
Starting January 1, 2027, individuals can donate to The Oaks and receive the entire donation back when they file their federal income tax return, up to $1,700.
That means you can help fund a child’s future at no net cost to you.
Donations support crucial student needs, including tutoring, books, school supplies, and more. Through this new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, eligible donors can make a meaningful investment in an Oaks student and receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for their gift, up to $1,700.
And for married couples, the opportunity doubles. When each spouse gives $1,700, a married couple filing jointly can receive up to $3,400 in federal tax credits.
This new program has the potential to create life-changing opportunities for even more students.
