How Belonging Transforms Lives: When Children are Known and Loved

How Belonging Transforms Lives

When CHildren are known and loved, everything changes...

When Cassondra and her son, Destin, were searching for a middle school, they knew they wanted something more than strong academics. They were looking for a school grounded in strong morals, values, and structure, a place where character mattered just as much as academic success.

Their first impression of The Oaks Academy was that it was a close-knit community where students and teachers genuinely respected one another. But Cassondra wondered what would happen after the excitement of a new school faded.

It didn’t take long for her to find the answer.

The Academic program aligned perfectly WITH WHAT MY SON WAS SEEKING, BUT WHAT TRULY CONFIRMED THAT THE OAKS WAS THE RIGHT PLACE WAS AFTER THE ‘NEWNESS’ WORE OFF, HE FELT FULLY EMBRACED BY HIS PEERS, EXPERIENCED THE WARMTH OF THE COMMUNITY, AND FOUND CONNECTION THROUGH SOCIAL EVENTS.

At The oaks, belonging leads to transformation

When students feel safe, known, and supported, they grow in confidence and maturity. They develop deeper friendships, stronger character, and the internal motivation to flourish. For Destin, that sense of belonging has made a lasting impact, academically, socially, and personally.

At the oaks, my child isn't just another student; They truly know him. The Oaks is everything and more for the growing of my family.

Cassondra, Oaks Parent

Destin’s story is one example of what happens when a child experiences an education that is more than a classroom. At The Oaks, students are not only challenged academically, but also are known, loved, and encouraged to become who they were created to be.

This kind of transformation is only possible because of a community that believes in the mission of The Oaks. When you give to The Oaks, you aren’t just supporting a student today; you are investing in who they will become.

For students who depend on scholarships, we rely on your support.
